Certificate Course in Documentary Film Production: June - August.

In collaboration with Goldsmiths, University of London, the School of Media & Communication of the Pan African University, Lagos is organising a Certificate Course in Documentary Film Production. The Course is meant to build skills and competencies needed to engage in the medium acknowledged to be a huge area of need in Nigeria and Africa.

Seen as an important support skill for the growing film and home video industry, this course could not have come up at a better time than now. The course will be practice-centred and will be supervised for the most part by the experts from Goldsmiths, University of London with the aim of transferring knowledge and expertise to the participants.

The course is developed by and delivered in association with Media/Academic Partners (MAP), part of the Department of Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Some of the Modules:
Basic Theories in Film Making, Pre-Production Research Techniques, Principles of Documentary Directing, Proposal Writing, Documentary Narrative, Documentary Editing, Practical sessions in documentary filmmaking, Documentary Critique Principles
