| Adstrat's Brand Arise youth empowerment conference |
| Breaking barriers, charting and taking over new territories, displacing the status quo, inventing paradigms, redefining originality, upholding uniqueness, celebrating creativity and helping young people to find their voice in a crowded noisy world, while giving them a platform to define and differentiate themselves as individual brands is what BRANDSARISE is set to achieve. Come February 18, 2009, Nigerians will witness the reverberations of this new brand thinking as the University of Lagos plays host to Season II of the BRANDSARISE Youth Empowerment.
Scheduled to hold at the UNILAG Multipurpose Hall ‘A’, this youth empowerment initiative is targeted at young Nigerians with the aim of exploring their hidden talents and giving them the spirit of self-confidence and self-reliance. Unlike other similar youth fora, it is verged on the essence of cutting edge creativity which positions major positive and formidable brands that serve as social icons and role models to young people. Those expected to be featured at the event include, Publisher of Ovation International, Chief Dele Momodu, Sammie Okposo, Uche Nworah, Koffi Nuel, Funmi Iyanda, Larry Izamoje, Chude Jideonwo, T Y Bello, Joshua Awesome, Rugged Man, Sound Sultan and the Principal Consultant of ADSTRAT BMC Ltd., Charles O’Tudor.
According to the Principal Consultant of ADSTRAT BMC Ltd., Charles O’Tudor, “This is aimed at raising our nation through the youths to greater heights. Great things they say start from the small beginnings. Join us as we sow a seed in leading our nation to brands paradise. According to Albert Einstein, the 1921 Nobel Prize winner for Physics, ‘only a life lived in the service of others is worth living’”.
Season I, held at the Cultural Center in Calabar, Cross River State, was a huge success and had in attendance over 500 people, and was tagged “Personal Branding for Self Actualization’. It featured the wife of the State Governor, Mrs. Obioma-Liyel Imoke, who flagged off the event. Others are renowned role model brands who by dint of hard work and unique positioning, have against all odds, achieved success in their endeavours. From the entertainment industry, renowned names as Ali Baba, Teju Babyface, Temitayo George and Shola Idowu, a.k.a. Weird MC graced the event.
BRANDSARISE as an initiative of ADSTRAT BMC Ltd., made its debut as a series of articles published in BusinessDay over a period of time. The compendium of articles will be published as a book in the second quarter of this year. It seeks to encourage individual to rise, because if the individuals rise, the community will rise and ultimately the nation will rise. BRANDARISE is taking the challenge of imparting and impacting the Nigerian youth with these values, as the custodian of the future, to rise to their full potential by discovering developing and deploying their originality.
The BRANDSARISE Youth Empowerment will continue across several states of the federation and eventually culminate into the launching of the book – BRANDSARISE to be released in the middle of the year. | |
